Associate Professor

Associate Professor with a Doctorate in Pedagogy from Salamanca University (1998) and winner of a Special Prize. Over the course of his professional career he has performed duties in academic management, and among other positions he has held the office of Director of the University Teacher Training College in Zamora (Spain), from 2016 to the present, and Director of Salamanca University’s Museum Centre for Education, from 2010 to 2016.

His lines of research have been conducted within the fields of private religious schooling, social education: charitable-teaching foundations, the history of schools, and the science of museums on education – the historical-educational heritage.

As Director of Salamanca University’s Museum Centre for Education (CEMUPE), he has conducted studies and research projects.

He has also been one of those responsible for collecting and cataloguing a highly valued collection of schoolbooks that today number more than a thousand items. He has also preserved the voices of retired teachers through written testimonies of their teaching careers, forming another unique collection of special characteristics that also contains over a thousand items.

He has been involved in innovation and research projects in education related to the historical-educational heritage.
