Graduate in the History of Art, as well as in the History of Music and its Sciences, from Salamanca University, with a fellowship to complete his studies in this latter subject at the University of Heidelberg (Germany). He has also obtained the intermediate level certificate in Bel Canto, he is a qualified Piano teacher, as well as of Solfa, Music Theory, Transposition and Accompaniment at the conservatoires in Madrid and Salamanca. His interdisciplinary education was completed by his doctorate from Salamanca University, within the doctoral programme specialising in Musicology, submitting a thesis that was unanimously awarded Magna Cum Laude. He has written articles, cultural reviews and the notes for music programmes in various media, while at the same time presenting numerous communications at symposia and conferences. Furthermore, he is a member of the technical and management team at the “Tomás Luis de Victoria” Virtual Study Centre, which among other activities organises an annual international music festival, and of the group collaborating on the research project “La obra musical renacentista. Fundamentos, repertorios y prácticas” [Renaissance music. Fundaments, repertoires and practices]. For the past eight years he has lectured on musical didactics at Salamanca University.
