Gabriel Parra Nieto

Associate Lecturer

He is Associate Lecturer at the University Teacher Training College in Zamora; he teaches on the Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education on the Theory of Education and the History of Education. He holds a Doctorate (2019), a Degree in Pedagogy (2008), and a Diploma in Teacher Training (2006) from Salamanca University, as well as a University Master’s Degree as a teacher in Compulsory and Voluntary Secondary Education (2010) from the same university. He is also a teacher in Primary Education and Therapeutic Pedagogy in state schools run by the Department of Education of the Regional Government, the Junta, of Castilla y León.

He has taken part in numerous projects on teaching innovation and improvement, and in sundry research projects at local, regional, national and European level. He is also a member of the Recognised Research Group “Procesos, espacios y prácticas educativas” [Processes, spaces and educational practices] and of Salamanca University’s Museum Centre for Education (CEMUPE). His core lines of research are focused on the History of Gender Education and the History of Education.
